On Sunday 14th April families from Sydney’s Darfuri community came together with JAA’s volunteers for a jam-packed community fun day at Sydney’s Royal Botanical Gardens! The day was a huge success, with over 50 kids and 20 parents from the Darfuri community joining. To the back-drop of Sydney harbour, our volunteers ran an awsome selection of games. Special thanks to the Mr Futsal soccer coaches Gareth and Colton for running soccer games, Sally and Kathy for creating a new string of passionate sewers, Martine Payne photography for taking some beautiful snaps, Debbie and her family for such creative drama games, and Anne and the North Shore Friendship Club and Square knitters for donating 22 hand crafted winter blankets. And a big thanks to all the volunteers for their wonderful contribution to this day, your high energy and hard work made this day a truly special occasion for all.
