Biala Aboriginal Girls Hostel
Jewish Aid and Jews for Social Action have combined forces to provide weekly homework support to Aboriginal girls living at the Biala hostel in North Sydney. These workshops take place every Sunday during the school term.
“The girls half yearly reports were outstanding this year so I am very grateful for the support your group have given them and the proof was in the report.” - Biala hostel coordinator

Outing to Macquarie Park Ice Skating Rink!
Sunday April 7th was our end of term Biala outing in Sydney. Five volunteers and 12 of the girls took to Macquarie ice skating rink with much excitement! There were plenty of wet bums and hands but we kept on skating for the two hours and the girls did great, esp considering it was the first time ice skating for many of them! Thank you to our volunteers for your awesome energy on Sunday and for being brave on the rink, it had been a long time for many of us since we last ice-skated!
